DAY 2
A day trip to Cleveland to visit the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame? Heck yes.
We woke up this morning at Dan's in-laws (Gary and
Rosie) and made our way to the airport around 8:30am. We were
basically about an hour behind schedule (at least my schedule).

It was a pleasant morning. Warm, but not scorching hot
(at least not yet).

The Huntingburg airport is only a 15 minute drive from
their house in Jasper.

My brother's wife, Melissa, came with to see us off.

My niece and I getting ready to fire up.

By the time I had my preflight done and we were
starting up the plane it was a little after nine. We were in the air
around 9:40am and in Cleveland at 11:40.

We did have some precipitation and storms to thread
our way through.

It was hazy and not especially pretty the entire
flight there. However, we did have about a 20 knot tail wind so that
was welcome.

Short final into runway 24 right at Burke Lakefront
Airport, KBKL.

We had the plane parked next to a Boeing 757 at Burke
Lakefront airport.

Walking over the to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
around noon. About a ten minute walk.

Excuse me sir, I'm here to see the Wizard.
Party time.
Excellent.
There is so much to see at that place. So much that I
won't even try to narrow it down to what is worth posting on here.
But the puck rock stuff definitely caught my eye.

The flight from Cleveland to Indiana was a little
slower, as that 20 knot tailwind on the way there would be a 20 knot
headwind on the way back. Oh, and we had weather to deal with.
Ultimately, it wasn't all that bad. About 2hrs, 40ish minutes flight time.

We did have to snake through that weather a bit.
Altogether, it took about 30 minutes longer than the
trip there in the morning, and rising cumulous clouds can be scary
(bumpy and dangerous too), but it was pretty to look at.

Coming into land back in Huntingburg, Indiana around
6:45pm on Friday.

After we got picked up at the airport, it was off for
Mexican food.
