Day 9
Monday, September 5th

Woke up and Johnny gave us a ride to the airport.

Then we flew home under VFR to KC. Honestly, I didn't file one IFR flight plan this entire week, but on this leg I probably should have.

We were VFR on top of a cloud deck that got more and more solid as we got closer to KC.

Eventually I had to find a hole, dip through it, and scud run at 1,000 feet above the ground back to Lees Summit.

I was right on the margins of IFR conditions. However, I made it work and we got home and put away safely.

On the ground at 2:20pm. Home by 3pm. Showered. Dressed. At the Royals game by 4:30pm.
